What if every second you lived, you learned
And every second you learned, you lived.
What if every second you thought, you felt
And every second you felt, you thought.
What f every second you cared, you loved
And every second you loved, you cared
What if every second you heard, you listened
And every second you listened, you heard.
What if every second you acted, you believed
And every second you believe, you acted.
What if every second you are you,
And every second you become you.

No Practice as the Best Practice
I just got back from my annual holiday at sea, a holiday in every sense of the word. That said, I bring my yoga mat every year with the intention of practicing daily, but every year nature wins. Instead, I swim, tan, swim, laugh, swim, eat, swim, drink, and repeat, all day long, every day. And by nature winning, I mean the sun, the wind, the sea, and ultimately my body – the inside- win.
The thing is, like the changing winds and tides, sometimes you cannot control what goes on around you, or inside you. Sometimes you cannot dictate what your body craves, whether it is a steak, a nap, or in my case, some time off. At first it may aggravate you, then it may confuse you, but ultimately listening to that craving or need will nourish you.
Giving in to my no practice days is one of my best practices, but also one of the hardest. I challenge you to give in, too, and see how it feels, ultimately.
